Structure of jaw crusher

1. Frame: the frame is a four wall rigid frame with upper and lower openings. It is used to support the eccentric shaft and bear the reaction force of broken materials. It is required to have sufficient strength and rigidity. Generally, cast steel is cast as a whole, and high-quality cast iron can also be used to replace cast steel for small-scale machines. The frame of large-scale machine needs to be cast in sections, and then firmly linked into a whole by bolts, so the casting process is complex.

   
   

2. Jaw plate and side guard plate: both fixed jaw and movable jaw are composed of jaw bed and jaw plate. Jaw plate is the working part and is fixed on jaw bed with bolts and wedge iron. The jaw bed of the fixed jaw is the front wall of the frame. The movable jaw bed is suspended on the shaft and has enough strength and rigidity to bear the crushing reaction force, so it is mostly cast steel or cast iron.

3. Transmission parts: eccentric shaft is the main shaft of jaw crusher. It is made of high carbon steel due to huge bending torque. The eccentric part shall be finished, heat treated and Babbitt alloy shall be used for bearing liner. One end of the eccentric shaft is equipped with a pulley and the other end is equipped with a flywheel.

4. Adjusting device: the adjusting device includes wedge type, backing plate type and hydraulic type, etc. generally, wedge type is adopted, which is composed of front and rear wedges. The front wedge can move back and forth to support the backward pushing plate; the rear wedge is an adjusting wedge, which can move up and down, and the inclined plane of the two wedges is in reverse direction, and the size of the outlet is adjusted by the screw to move the rear wedge up and down. The adjustment of discharge port of small jaw crusher is realized by increasing or decreasing the number of gaskets between thrust plate support and frame.

5. Flywheel: the flywheel of jaw crusher is used to store the energy during the empty stroke of jaw, and then used for industrial formation, so that the work of machinery tends to be uniform. The pulley also plays the role of flywheel. The flywheel is often made of cast iron or cast steel, and the flywheel of small-sized machine is often made into integral type. Attention should be paid to the static balance when the flywheel is manufactured and installed.

6. In general, grease is injected into the bottom of the bearing by manual lubrication device, which is difficult to be lubricated through the open center groove of the bearing bush.

Working principle

In the process of the movable jaw swinging around the suspension center and the fixed jaw, the material between the two jaw plates will be crushed, split and bent. At the beginning, the pressure is small, so that the volume of the material is reduced, and the materials are close to each other and squeezed; when the pressure rises to exceed the strength of the material, it will break. Conversely, when the movable jaw leaves the fixed jaw and swings in the opposite direction, the material moves downward by its own weight. Each cyclical movement of the movable jaw causes the material to be crushed once and sent down for a certain distance. After several cycles, the crushed materials will be discharged from the discharge port. With the continuous rotation of the motor, the mobile jaw is broken and the materials are crushed and discharged in a periodic motion to realize mass production.
