Tips for improving the fineness of ball mills

The cost of grinding is a relatively high part of the beneficiation plant. How to control the grinding fineness effectively and efficiently is an important factor that directly reduces the cost of beneficiation and increases the economic efficiency of the plant. Explain the grinding fineness is one of the many factors that affect the beneficiation index. The fineness of the grinding ore directly affects the grade of the concentrate and the recovery rate of the product.

The factors affecting the grinding fineness are: hardness of raw ore, size of broken granules, mesh sieve mesh, size of ore feed, type of ball mill, number of steel balls, proportion of steel balls, abrasion of ball mill lining, speed of ball mill, classification Machine speed, classifying machine spindle lifting height, classifier blade wear, classifier overflow weir height, grader under the opening level, classifier under the opening size, classifier opening height, classifier opening size, return sand at the flow size, ball mill The size of the water supply and the size of the flushing at the outlet of the ball mill. To understand all of these influencing factors, we need to conduct a one-by-one search in the production operation to find the best adjustment factor.

Raw ore hardness: different ores, their hardness is not the same, this factor is fixed relative to the same ore, but also can not be adjusted. However, in production, under the premise of beneficiation technology requirements, reasonable ore allocation can be carried out to make ore size as uniform as possible, and the ratio of blocky and powdery ore is reasonably stable. In addition, at the belt feeder to the mine, the belt may leak due to prolonged wear. Most of the leaks are powder ore. This part of the leakage must be added to the ball mill as soon as possible, if piled up for a long time, concentrated Addition will cause uneven ball milling, causing instability in production. Especially difficult to choose minerals, often the nature of powder minerals and block minerals are not the same.

The lifting height of the classifier's spindle is also an important factor affecting the amount of sand returned and grinding fineness. General normal production requires the grader spindle to be in place. Some mills in the beneficiation plant did not fully set down the main shaft because they were not careful because the ore in the grader was not cleaned after the equipment was overhauled, resulting in less sand return than normal. In addition, if the spindle is not lowered, it may be because the spindle is not cleaned and oiled for a long time, so pay attention to it during the operation.
